Hi, has someone figured out what the parameters "is_show" and "is_loaded" mean exactly? They are returned by the getcomments function. I've played around a bit and I can see that the are both generally set to 1, but they will be both set to 0, if the comment was deleted. Do situations such as this ever occur ( Read more... )

I am new to live journal. I am using LJToolKit library (code.google.com/p/ljtoolkit/). Is there a way to retrieve friend's email address & phone number? If not this library is there any other way? Any help is appreciated.

i am trying to write a simple application that fetches public information from livejournal using keywords. Using XML-RPC client/server protocol i can fetch information related to a particular user but how can i fetch info from all the database of livejournal with reference to a keyword. Please do help.

Does anyone know if LJ supports any of the following through their ATOM protocol:

- tags for a post.  It's in the spec, doesn't seem like LJ handles it.
- setting a flag to declare the post private/public/friends only or for a specific group
- authentication that is not through WSSE.  An authentication mechanism that does not require a password.

I use http://exampleusername.livejournal.com/data/rss to get the recent entries of a friend. But there is no Userpic information in the response though some entries have the Userpic with it. Please help me, is it  available to get friends entries with Userpic used in it?

UPDATE: Sorry, I understood I made  some mistakes. I'm using flat api now anyway, so these questions are not actual anymore.
